Eono hula hoop
Main features
There are a few features that make the Eono hula hoop a good option. First of all, it’s quite similar to our No 1 choice HoopaLoop in features and design. For example, the foam exterior is just as soft and doesn’t feel bad when spinning. It’s just as easy to assemble/disassemble, though Eono does not include an assembly tool. It does, however, include a carrying/storage bag, so it’s very convenient to store or take it elsewhere. It’s also quite sturdy, though one of the reasons it ranked below HoopaLoop is because its frame is plastic. Sure, the plastic is of much better quality than those others on our list, but it can’t compare to steel. And somehow, it’s heavier as well, which might not suit everybody. Finally, Eono also has an adjustable size, so the whole family can use it. For eco-friendly people out there – you’ll be pleased to know that the box Eono arrives in is made of recycled materials.
Design and Comfort
The great benefits of Eono, just like HoopaLoop, are soft foam exterior, simple assembly, lack of curves and bulges that some hula hoops have, and stable, sturdy feel. However, during our testing, we noticed that it’s not as comfortable as HoopaLoop. Eono is heavier and, as a result of that, presses into the waist harder, so it might not even be suitable for smaller kids. If with HoopaLoop we could spin the hoop for nearly an hour, with Eono it took about 20 minutes to start feeling a strong discomfort. Nevertheless, it’s definitely one of the better ones we tested, hence why it’s so high on our list, and even the heaviness can be up to someone’s personal preference.
Value
Overall, if you’re willing to let go of increased comfort and long-term durability, Eono certainly has good value for money. It’s a slightly cheaper option than our No 1 choice, however, that’s if you don’t include shipping in the total costs. Otherwise, it’s basically the same. Eono has a great design, is simple to assemble/disassemble, and even has its own carrying bag. Great for those who dislike clutter and like to keep everything in one place. Keep in might that it’s not very light, so make sure you’re ready to feel some increased pressure. To summarize, if HoopaLoop wasn’t an option, we would certainly pick Eono.
